About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Lead Sound Designer to join their innovative creative studio located in the heart of Aberdeen . Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and integration of all sound effects, music, and voiceovers across multiple projects.
• Direct and mentor junior sound designers, providing constructive feedback and fostering professional growth.
• Collaborate closely with game designers, narrative teams, and programmers to ensure audio enhances gameplay and storytelling.
• Develop and maintain the audio pipeline, tools, and workflows to optimize efficiency and quality.
• Manage audio budgets and schedules, ensuring timely delivery of all sound assets.
• Conduct field recordings and create custom sound libraries to achieve unique sonic palettes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in sound design for games or interactive media, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role.
• Proven expertise in audio middleware such as Wwise or FMOD.
• Proficiency with Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) like Pro Tools, Reaper, or Cubase, and audio editing software.
• Strong understanding of audio engineering principles , acoustics, and signal processing.
• Experience with game development engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity) is highly desirable.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
