About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and innovative Lead Structural Engineer to join their expanding team based in Coventry . This hybrid role offers a blend of office-based collaboration and remote flexibility, focusing on the design and management of complex structural engineering projects across the UK. You will be responsible for leading engineering teams, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring the technical excellence and timely delivery of structural designs from concept through to completion. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the structural design process for various construction projects, ensuring compliance with building regulations and industry standards.
- Develop and review detailed engineering drawings, calculations, and specifications using advanced structural analysis software .
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, coordinating with clients, architects, and contractors.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians within the team.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and address any structural issues that may arise.
- Champion innovation and the adoption of new technologies and methodologies in structural engineering design.
Requirements
- A Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
- Significant post-qualification experience (e.g., 8+ years) in structural engineering design and project management.
- Proficiency in industry-standard CAD and structural analysis software (e.g., Revit, Tekla, STAAD.Pro).
- Chartered Engineer status (MIStructE or MICE) is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to lead project teams and manage client relationships effectively.
- Strong understanding of various construction materials and building techniques.
