About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and innovative Lead Structural Engineer to join their expanding team based in Coventry . You will be responsible for leading engineering teams, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring the technical excellence and timely delivery of structural designs from concept through to completion. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design process for various construction projects, ensuring compliance with building regulations and industry standards.
• Develop and review detailed engineering drawings, calculations, and specifications using advanced structural analysis software .
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, coordinating with clients, architects, and contractors.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians within the team.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and address any structural issues that may arise.
• Champion innovation and the adoption of new technologies and methodologies in structural engineering design.

Requirements

• A Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
• Significant post-qualification experience (e.g., 8+ years) in structural engineering design and project management.
• Proficiency in industry-standard CAD and structural analysis software (e.g., Revit, Tekla, STAAD.Pro).
• Chartered Engineer status (MIStructE or MICE) is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to lead project teams and manage client relationships effectively.
• Strong understanding of various construction materials and building techniques.
