About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Lead Structural Engineer to join their prestigious Manchester office. You will play a crucial role in the design and delivery of complex structural engineering solutions for a variety of exciting construction projects, including commercial, residential, and infrastructure developments. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design process from conception through to detailed design and construction support, ensuring technical integrity and compliance.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for structural engineering deliverables, coordinating with architects and other disciplines.
• Conduct structural analysis and design using industry-standard software (e.g., ETABS, STAAD.Pro ), applying advanced engineering principles.
• Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, and calculations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to standards.
• Mentor and guide a team of structural engineers, fostering their professional development and ensuring high-quality output.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth project progression and successful outcomes.

Requirements

• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with a relevant professional institution (e.g., ICE, IStructE).
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in structural engineering design within the construction sector.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software, with a deep understanding of seismic and wind load calculations.
• Demonstrated experience in leading engineering teams and managing complex projects.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
