About the Role

You will be responsible for leading a team of field engineers, ensuring the successful installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment at customer sites. Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of field engineers, ensuring efficient task allocation and high-quality workmanship.
• Oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of diverse telecoms equipment , including fibre optic, wireless, and satellite systems.
• Conduct on-site diagnostics and troubleshooting to resolve technical issues promptly and effectively.
• Ensure all field operations adhere to safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
• Manage inventory of field equipment and consumables, ensuring adequate stock levels for operations.
• Liaise with project managers and clients to provide technical updates and ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Telecoms Field Engineer or similar role, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
• Extensive knowledge of telecommunications hardware, software, and installation techniques.
• Proficiency in fibre optic splicing, testing, and troubleshooting is essential.
• Strong understanding of health and safety protocols within a field operations environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• A valid UK driving license and willingness to travel extensively within the Birmingham area.
