About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Telecoms Field Technician to manage their field operations in the Coventry area. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing a team of technicians, ensuring the successful installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment and infrastructure. You will play a crucial part in maintaining high standards of service delivery and customer satisfaction, acting as the primary point of contact for complex technical issues encountered in the field. Key Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and supervise a team of telecoms field technicians, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols.
• Perform complex installations, configurations, and repairs of fiber optic and copper network infrastructure.
• Diagnose and resolve intricate technical faults across various telecommunications systems.
• Conduct site surveys and assess infrastructure requirements for new installations or upgrades.
• Manage inventory of equipment and parts, ensuring adequate stock levels for field operations.
• Liaise with customers and internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery and address any concerns promptly.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Telecoms Field Technician , with at least 5 years in a senior or lead capacity.
• In-depth knowledge of fiber optic splicing, termination, and testing techniques.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment for network troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of telecommunications standards and best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• A full, clean UK driving license is mandatory for this role.
