About the Role
Our client is seeking a visionary Lead Telecoms Systems Architect to spearhead the design and evolution of their telecommunications infrastructure. This is a fully remote position, offering the opportunity to work from anywhere while driving innovation in a critical sector. You will be responsible for defining the strategic direction of the network architecture, ensuring it meets current and future business needs, and leverages the latest technological advancements. Key Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the architectural roadmap for the company's telecom systems , ensuring scalability, resilience, and security.
- Lead the evaluation and selection of new technologies and vendors to enhance network capabilities.
- Develop high-level and detailed technical designs for complex network solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to network engineers and architects.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable architectural plans.
- Oversee the implementation of major network projects and ensure adherence to architectural standards.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- 10+ years of experience in telecommunications network design and architecture.
- Expertise in a wide range of network technologies, including SDN, NFV, cloud networking, and 5G architecture.
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage complex projects.
- Strong understanding of network performance optimization, security best practices, and disaster recovery planning.
- Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential.
