Lead UI/UX Designer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Lead UI/UX Designer to guide their design strategy and team, working on a fully remote basis. This leadership role is responsible for shaping the user experience and interface design across all their digital products, ensuring consistency, usability, and aesthetic excellence. You will mentor a team of designers, champion user-centered design principles, and collaborate closely with product management, engineering, and marketing to deliver innovative solutions. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong portfolio, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for creating intuitive and impactful digital experiences that delight users and drive business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design process from concept to execution, including user research, wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity visual design for web and mobile applications.
• Develop and maintain a cohesive design system , ensuring consistency in UI elements and interaction patterns across all products.
• Mentor and guide a team of UI/UX designers, providing feedback, fostering growth, and setting design standards.
• Collaborate effectively with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define product vision and requirements.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and A/B testing to gather insights and validate design decisions.
• Champion user-centered design principles and advocate for the user throughout the product development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Extensive experience (7+ years) as a UI/UX Designer , with a significant portion in a lead or senior capacity.
• A strong portfolio showcasing complex UI/UX projects, demonstrating expertise in user research, interaction design, and visual design.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design and prototyping tools such as Figma , Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision.
• Experience building and managing design systems.
• Proven leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to manage a design team effectively.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions to various audiences.
