Lead UX Researcher

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and insightful Lead UX Researcher to join their user-centered design team in Bristol . You will lead user research initiatives, defining methodologies, planning studies, and conducting research to uncover deep user needs, behaviors, and motivations. This role is critical in informing product strategy, design decisions, and ensuring our client builds products that truly resonate with their target audience. You will work closely with UX/UI designers, product managers, and engineers, translating research findings into actionable insights that drive product innovation and user satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and analysis of qualitative and quantitative user research studies, including interviews, surveys, usability tests, and ethnographic research.
• Define research goals and methodologies that align with product objectives and business needs.
• Synthesize research findings into clear, compelling insights and actionable recommendations for product and design teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate user feedback and research findings into the product development lifecycle.
• Mentor and guide junior researchers, fostering a strong research culture within the organization.
• Advocate for the user throughout the product development process, ensuring user needs are central to design decisions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in UX research , with a strong portfolio showcasing research methodologies and impact.
• Proven expertise in a variety of research methods (qualitative and quantitative) and ability to select appropriate methods for different research questions.
• Experience with research tools and platforms for data collection and analysis.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings clearly to diverse audiences.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and the product development process.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment in Bristol .
