Lead UX Researcher

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and insightful Lead UX Researcher to guide their user research initiatives in Sheffield . This vital role involves deeply understanding user behaviors, needs, and motivations to inform product design and strategy. You will lead research projects from planning and execution to analysis and reporting, ensuring that user insights are central to product development decisions. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and analysis of a wide range of qualitative and quantitative user research studies (e.g., interviews, usability tests, surveys, card sorting).
• Translate research findings into actionable insights, recommendations, and compelling presentations for product teams and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our target users, their journeys, and their pain points.
• Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, product managers, and engineers to ensure user needs are met throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Mentor and guide junior UX researchers, fostering a culture of user empathy and research excellence.
• Advocate for the user and champion user-centered design principles across the organization.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in user experience research, with a proven track record of conducting impactful research.
• Strong expertise in various research methodologies, both qualitative and quantitative.
• Excellent analytical, synthesis, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in research tools and platforms.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Experience leading research projects and mentoring team members is highly desirable.
