About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished Lead UX Researcher to join their dedicated product team, based in their Nottingham office. This role is central to understanding user needs, behaviors, and motivations, driving product strategy and design decisions through rigorous research methodologies. You will lead research initiatives, mentor junior researchers, and collaborate closely with product managers and designers to ensure our client delivers user-centered, impactful digital experiences. This hybrid role provides a blend of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and analysis of various user research studies, including usability testing, interviews, surveys, and contextual inquiries.
- Translate research findings into actionable insights and clear recommendations for product strategy and design improvements.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and UX/UI Designers to identify research questions and define research objectives.
- Develop research plans, screeners, discussion guides, and reporting templates.
- Mentor and guide junior UX researchers, fostering a strong research culture within the team.
- Present research findings effectively to stakeholders at all levels of the organization, advocating for the user.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a UX Researcher or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your research methodologies and impact.
- Expertise in a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Excellent analytical and synthesis skills, with the ability to derive meaningful insights from data.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence product direction.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, or a related field.
