Lead UX Researcher

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and insightful Lead UX Researcher to join their product innovation team in Norwich . This role is pivotal in driving a deep understanding of user needs and behaviours, ensuring that our client's digital products are not only functional but also highly intuitive and valuable to their users. You will lead research initiatives, mentor junior researchers, and translate findings into actionable insights for design and product teams. This position operates under a hybrid work model , blending focused work in the office with the convenience and flexibility of remote work. We are looking for a strategic thinker with a passion for uncovering user truths.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and conduct a wide range of qualitative and quantitative user research studies (e.g., interviews, surveys, usability tests, field studies).
• Analyze research data to identify key insights, user pain points, and opportunities for product improvement.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and developers to integrate user feedback throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Develop and present comprehensive research findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.
• Mentor and guide junior UX researchers, fostering a culture of user-centricity and research excellence.
• Advocate for the user and ensure that user needs are central to product strategy and design decisions.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in UX research , with a proven track record of leading research projects.
• Expertise in a variety of research methodologies, both qualitative and quantitative.
• Strong analytical and synthesis skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working within an Agile development environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
