About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished Lead VFX Artist to spearhead their visual effects team in their Milton Keynes studio. This crucial role involves overseeing the creation and implementation of stunning visual effects across a variety of projects, ensuring artistic quality and technical performance. You will guide a team of talented VFX artists, mentor their development, and champion innovative techniques to push the boundaries of visual artistry. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of VFX artists, providing artistic direction and technical guidance.
- Create and implement high-quality visual effects (VFX) for games, films, or interactive experiences.
- Develop and maintain efficient VFX workflows and pipelines, ensuring timely delivery of assets.
- Collaborate closely with directors, art leads, and engineers to achieve the project's vision.
- Troubleshoot technical challenges and optimize VFX performance for target platforms.
- Stay current with emerging VFX technologies and techniques, and mentor junior team members.
Requirements
- Proven experience in VFX artistry , with at least 5 years in a senior or lead role.
- Expertise in 3D modeling, texturing, particle systems, and simulation software (e.g., Houdini, Maya, Unreal Engine, Unity).
- Strong understanding of real-time VFX pipelines and optimization techniques.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent artistic eye and a keen sense of visual storytelling.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
