About the Role

Our client, a cutting-edge visual effects studio in the Wolverhampton area, is seeking a talented and experienced Lead VFX Artist to guide their creative team. This position involves overseeing the creation of spectacular visual effects for film, television, and gaming projects, ensuring artistic integrity and technical excellence. You will be responsible for mentoring junior artists, managing workflows, and collaborating closely with directors and supervisors to bring imaginative worlds to life. Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of VFX artists in the creation, integration, and compositing of visual effects for various media projects.
• Develop and implement VFX workflows and pipelines, ensuring efficiency and quality throughout the production process.
• Provide artistic direction, technical guidance, and constructive feedback to team members.
• Collaborate with directors, producers, and supervisors to understand project requirements and deliver stunning visual results.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and find creative solutions to complex visual challenges.
• Ensure final VFX shots meet the highest standards of realism, artistic quality, and technical specification.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in Visual Effects (VFX) artistry , with a strong portfolio showcasing leadership and creative work.
• Proficiency in industry-standard VFX software such as Maya, Houdini, Nuke, After Effects, and 3D rendering engines.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of artists, manage project timelines, and meet deadlines.
• Strong understanding of 3D animation, modeling, texturing, lighting, and compositing principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail, with a passion for innovation in the Wolverhampton digital arts scene.
