About the Role

Our client, a dynamic force in the arts and entertainment industry , is seeking an exceptional Lead VFX Artist to spearhead their visual effects team in Birmingham . This role is critical for elevating the visual storytelling of our projects through stunning and imaginative visual effects. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of VFX artists , providing artistic direction and technical support.
• Oversee the creation of high-quality visual effects, from concept to final compositing, for film, television, or game projects.
• Develop and implement VFX pipelines and workflows to optimize efficiency and creative output.
• Collaborate with directors, art directors, and producers to define the visual style and technical requirements for VFX.
• Ensure all VFX work meets the project's aesthetic goals, technical specifications, and deadlines.
• Troubleshoot and problem-solve complex technical challenges related to VFX creation and rendering.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a VFX Artist with a significant portion in a lead or supervisory role.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating mastery in various VFX disciplines, including simulation, compositing, and 3D integration.
• Proficiency in industry-standard VFX software such as Maya, Houdini, Nuke, or After Effects.
• Experience with real-time VFX and game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity) is a plus.
• Excellent understanding of cinematography, color theory, and lighting principles.
• Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
