About the Role

Our client is looking for an exceptional and experienced Lead VFX Artist to join their fully remote development team. In this senior position, you will guide the creation and implementation of spectacular visual effects across their exciting portfolio of games. You will lead a team of talented VFX artists, setting the artistic bar, refining workflows, and ensuring that all effects meet the highest standards of quality and performance. Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of VFX artists to achieve outstanding visual results.
• Define and uphold the quality and technical standards for all visual effects within the project.
• Develop and implement efficient VFX pipelines and workflows, ensuring seamless integration with the game engine.
• Create and oversee the implementation of complex particle effects, simulations, and shaders for gameplay, environments, and cinematics.
• Collaborate closely with art directors, game designers, and engineers to achieve the project's overall aesthetic and technical goals.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in VFX Artistry for games, with at least 2 years in a lead role.
• Expertise in real-time VFX creation within major game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity).
• Proficiency with industry-standard tools such as Houdini, Maya, After Effects, and shader creation software.
• Strong understanding of particle systems, fluid dynamics, and scripting for VFX.
• A superb portfolio demonstrating a wide range of high-quality visual effects and leadership capabilities.
