About the Role

Our client, a creative production house located in Plymouth , is looking for an innovative and skilled Lead Video Editor . You will be responsible for overseeing the post-production process, editing compelling video content for a variety of projects, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and creativity. This role is key to bringing visual stories to life, leading editing workflows, and collaborating with directors and producers to achieve outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit raw footage into polished, engaging video content for marketing, social media, and corporate projects.
• Collaborate with directors, producers, and clients to understand project vision and objectives.
• Incorporate graphics, music, sound effects, and color correction to enhance video narratives.
• Manage and organize video assets, project files, and render queues efficiently.
• Ensure video content meets technical specifications for various platforms and delivery formats.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest video editing techniques, software, and industry trends.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior editors as the team grows.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in video editing.
• Proficiency in professional video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and visual composition in video.
• Experience with motion graphics and After Effects is a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• A portfolio showcasing a range of high-quality video editing work.
