About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and creative Lead Video Editor to spearhead their content creation efforts in Newcastle upon Tyne . You will be responsible for the entire post-production workflow, from initial concept through to final delivery, ensuring all video content aligns with brand identity and marketing objectives. This role requires a visionary editor who can not only craft compelling narratives but also guide and inspire a team of editors and motion graphics artists. The ideal candidate possesses a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of storytelling through visual media, and the technical expertise to manage complex projects efficiently. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and execute the editing of various video projects, including marketing campaigns, promotional content, and internal communications, ensuring high standards of quality.
- Collaborate with marketing, creative, and production teams to develop visual concepts and ensure content meets strategic goals.
- Manage and organize video assets, project files, and the post-production workflow to ensure efficient turnaround times.
- Provide creative direction and technical guidance to junior editors and motion graphics artists.
- Stay abreast of the latest video editing trends , software, and techniques to continually innovate content.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in professional video editing , with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
- Expert proficiency in non-linear editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Strong knowledge of motion graphics and visual effects principles, and familiarity with Adobe After Effects.
- Excellent understanding of color correction, sound mixing, and storytelling techniques.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
