Lean Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a passionate Lean Engineer to drive continuous improvement initiatives within their operations based in Brighton . This hybrid role involves on-site analysis and implementation, complemented by remote planning and reporting, offering a balanced approach to process optimization. You will be instrumental in fostering a culture of efficiency and waste reduction, applying Lean methodologies to enhance productivity and quality across various departments. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate Lean workshops, Kaizen events, and continuous improvement projects.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques, such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Kanban, and Just-In-Time (JIT).
• Analyze operational data to identify areas of waste and inefficiency, proposing data-driven solutions.
• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce lead times, and improve quality.
• Train and mentor staff on Lean principles and empower them to identify and implement improvements.
• Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of Lean initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 2-5 years of experience in a Lean Engineer or Continuous Improvement role.
• Demonstrated expertise in implementing and sustaining Lean Manufacturing systems.
• Strong facilitation, communication, and change management skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving techniques.
• Ability to work flexibly in a hybrid model in Brighton .
