Lean Manufacturing Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a passionate and experienced Lean Manufacturing Specialist to drive continuous improvement initiatives. In this fully remote role, you will be instrumental in transforming manufacturing processes by applying lean principles and methodologies. You will work with various teams across the organisation, conducting remote assessments, facilitating virtual workshops, and implementing strategies to eliminate waste, improve efficiency, and enhance overall productivity. This position offers a unique opportunity for a lean expert to make a significant impact on operational excellence from anywhere.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate lean initiatives, including Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and 5S implementation, primarily through remote collaboration.
• Identify opportunities for waste reduction and process optimisation across manufacturing operations.
• Develop and implement lean training programs for employees at all levels.
• Analyse performance data to track the impact of lean initiatives and identify areas for further improvement.
• Collaborate with site leadership and operational teams to embed a culture of continuous improvement.
• Provide expert guidance on lean manufacturing principles and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Lean Manufacturing Specialist or in a similar continuous improvement role.
• In-depth knowledge of lean methodologies such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, VSM, 5S, and JIT.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent facilitation, coaching, and communication skills for a remote environment.
• Experience with data analysis tools and project management.
