Working closely with colleagues across the PSW Team, operational services and partner organisations, you'll ensure learning is translated into meaningful service improvement that enhances outcomes for people who draw on care and support, carers and staff.

• Build and maintain effective relationships with HM Coroner's Service, Legal Services, safeguarding partners, operational services and other key stakeholders.
• Coach, mentor and support colleagues undertaking reviews, investigations and reports, helping to build confidence, capability and consistency across the Directorate.
• Use data, insight and performance information to monitor activity, evaluate impact, provide assurance and contribute to the wider priorities of the Principal Social Worker Team.
• Contribute flexibly to the wider work of the Principal Social Worker Team, including developing and embedding guidance, training and practice frameworks that promote consistently high-quality social work practice across Adults' Health and Care.

What we're looking for:

You'll be an experienced and credible social work professional with a passion for learning, improvement and practice leadership.

You'll bring:

• Current registration with Social Work England and a recognised Social Work qualification.
• Significant experience within adult social care, safeguarding or a related environment, including undertaking or supporting complex reviews, investigations, audits or learning activity.
• Strong knowledge of the Care Act 2014, adult safeguarding responsibilities, statutory review processes and the wider legal and professional framework.
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to identify themes, evaluate complex information and translate learning into meaningful service improvements.
• Outstanding written communication skills, with experience producing high-quality reports, statements and recommendations for a range of audiences.
• Experience of quality assuring work, providing professional challenge and supporting others to develop their practice.
• Strong coaching, mentoring and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence across organisational and partnership boundaries.
• Excellent organisational skills, resilience and emotional awareness, combined with a commitment to strengths-based, person-centred and anti-discriminatory practice.
