Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct personal care and support to individuals with learning disabilities, respecting their dignity and choices.
• Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, meal preparation, and household tasks.
• Support individuals to access community facilities, engage in hobbies, and maintain social connections.
• Encourage independence and help clients develop life skills through tailored activities and guidance.
• Monitor the well-being of individuals and report any concerns to the relevant manager or professional.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided and observations made.

Requirements

• Previous experience in supporting individuals with learning disabilities is highly desirable.
• A compassionate, patient, and understanding nature with a strong commitment to person-centred care.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to adapt communication styles to meet individual needs.
• Willingness to undertake comprehensive training, including safeguarding and positive behaviour support.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a dedicated team.
