A welcoming mainstream primary school in Earlsfield is seeking an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join its team on a full-time basis. The successful Teaching Assistant will provide dedicated support to a Year 4 pupil with ASD and ADHD , helping them to access learning and thrive within the classroom environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant with genuine experience supporting children with special educational needs . The school is looking for someone who is patient, nurturing and confident in adapting their approach to meet individual needs.

The Role - Teaching Assistant

The successful Teaching Assistant will:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 and classroom support to a Year 4 pupil with ASD and ADHD .

• Support the pupil with their learning, engagement and participation throughout the school day.

• Help develop the pupil's confidence, independence and social skills.

• Implement strategies to support emotional regulation and positive behaviour.

• Work closely with the class teacher and SEN team to ensure consistent support.

• Build a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil.

• Contribute to an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.

The Ideal Teaching Assistant

The school is seeking a Teaching Assistant who:

• Has previous experience working with children with special educational needs .

• Has experience supporting children with ASD and/or ADHD .

• Is patient, calm and empathetic.

• Can build strong relationships with children and staff.

• Is confident managing challenging situations in a positive and professional manner.

• Has a genuine passion for supporting children to reach their full potential.

• Can commit to a full-time position.

Teaching Assistant - Earlsfield

This Teaching Assistant position offers the opportunity to become an integral part of a supportive primary school and make a genuine difference to the educational and personal development of a Year 4 pupil.

The role would suit an experienced Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or 1:1 Teaching Assistant with a strong background in special educational needs.
