About the Role

Our client, a leading property law firm in Belfast , is seeking a specialist Leasehold Enfranchisement Specialist to manage complex cases related to lease extensions and collective enfranchisement. This role requires a deep understanding of the Leasehold Reform Acts and a proactive approach to resolving intricate legal matters for clients across Northern Ireland . You will provide expert advice and representation, navigating the legal framework to secure favourable outcomes for leaseholders. Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of leasehold enfranchisement matters, including lease extensions and collective enfranchisement claims.
• Provide expert legal advice to leaseholders on their rights and obligations under the relevant Leasehold Reform Acts .
• Conduct negotiations with landlords and their representatives to reach agreeable settlements.
• Prepare and file necessary legal documentation for tribunal or court proceedings if required.
• Liaise with surveyors, valuers, and other experts to support enfranchisement claims.
• Ensure all cases are managed efficiently, meeting statutory deadlines and client expectations in Northern Ireland .

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with a strong background in property law .
• Demonstrable experience and specialist knowledge in leasehold enfranchisement and related legislation.
• Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to handle complex legal arguments.
• Proficiency in case management software and legal research tools.
• Strong client care skills and the ability to explain complex legal issues clearly.
