About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Legal Advisor to manage their extensive contract portfolio in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, UK . You will work closely with various internal departments, including procurement, sales, and operations, providing expert advice and support throughout the contract lifecycle. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end contract management process, from drafting and negotiation to execution and renewal.
- Review and analyze contracts to identify and mitigate potential legal and commercial risks.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and legal standards.
- Develop and maintain standardized contract templates and playbooks for various business needs.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external counsel on complex contractual matters.
- Provide training and guidance to business teams on contract best practices and compliance.
Requirements
- A qualified solicitor or barrister with a strong background in contract law, or a legal executive with relevant experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract law and management, preferably in-house or in a firm advising commercial clients.
- Demonstrated expertise in drafting, negotiating, and reviewing a variety of commercial contracts.
- Thorough understanding of contract lifecycle management principles and risk mitigation strategies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage a significant workload and prioritize effectively in a busy office setting.
