Legal Advisor - Corporate Law

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Advisor specializing in Corporate Law to join their remote-first legal team. This position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere in Scotland, focusing on providing expert legal counsel to support the company's strategic initiatives. You will be responsible for a range of corporate legal matters, from contract review to compliance, playing a vital role in safeguarding the company's interests and ensuring adherence to all relevant legal frameworks in a fully virtual setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on company formation, governance, and compliance matters.
• Draft, review, and amend various corporate agreements and policies.
• Conduct legal research on corporate law developments and their implications.
• Assist in managing corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.
• Ensure all company activities align with current Scottish and UK legal requirements.
• Support the legal team with ad-hoc legal projects and investigations.

Requirements

• Qualified solicitor or equivalent legal qualification with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of Scottish and UK corporate law and commercial contracts.
• Experience with transactional work, such as M&A or joint ventures, is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organisational skills.
• Proven ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and client service.
