About the Role

Our client is seeking a specialized Legal Advisor with expertise in Intellectual Property to join their team in Cambridge . This role is essential for protecting the company's valuable IP assets, managing trademarks, patents, and copyrights, and advising on IP-related transactions. You will collaborate closely with R&D, marketing, and commercial teams to safeguard innovations and support business growth. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the company's global trademark and patent portfolios, including filing, prosecution, and maintenance.
• Advise on IP licensing, joint ventures , and collaboration agreements.
• Conduct IP due diligence for potential acquisitions and partnerships.
• Support the enforcement of IP rights and the defence against infringement claims.
• Provide training and guidance to internal teams on IP best practices and policies.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor or Patent Attorney with significant experience in Intellectual Property law .
• Proven expertise in trademark law, patent law, and copyright law.
• Experience in IP licensing and commercial IP transactions is essential.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to effectively liaise with technical and business teams in Cambridge .
