Legal Counsel - Commercial Contracts

About the Role

Our client, a prominent legal practice in Sunderland , is seeking a proactive and experienced Legal Counsel specializing in Commercial Contracts . This role is integral to supporting the firm's diverse commercial clients by providing expert advice on contract negotiation, drafting, and risk management. You will work with a variety of businesses, from startups to established corporations, ensuring their contractual agreements are robust and compliant. Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including service agreements, supply contracts, and NDAs.
• Provide clear and concise legal advice on contractual risks and obligations to clients.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations governing commercial transactions.
• Assist clients in resolving contractual disputes and advising on dispute resolution strategies.
• Develop and implement contract management policies and procedures.
• Stay abreast of changes in commercial law and best practices.

Requirements

• Qualified solicitor with at least 5 years of experience in commercial contract law .
• Strong expertise in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
• Excellent understanding of contract lifecycle management and risk assessment.
• Ability to provide practical, business-focused legal advice.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with clients in various industries is advantageous.
