About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel with a specialization in Intellectual Property (IP) to join their innovative legal team, remotely supporting their operations based in Oxford . This role is crucial for protecting and managing the company's valuable IP assets, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights. You will advise on IP strategy, manage IP portfolios, and handle IP-related agreements and disputes. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement robust strategies for the protection and enforcement of the company's IP rights globally.
• Draft, review, and negotiate IP-related agreements, such as licensing, R&D collaborations, and non-disclosure agreements.
• Advise on patentability, trademark registration, and copyright matters.
• Conduct IP due diligence for potential acquisitions, investments, and partnerships.
• Manage IP disputes, including infringement claims and opposition proceedings.
• Stay abreast of evolving IP laws and trends to ensure proactive legal counsel.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor or equivalent with substantial experience in IP law.
• Proven track record in managing patent, trademark, and copyright portfolios.
• Strong understanding of IP litigation, licensing, and transactional IP work.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to provide strategic legal advice.
• Experience working with technology or R&D-intensive companies is highly desirable.
