About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Leisure Centre Manager to oversee the operations of their premier facility in Milton Keynes . This hands-on role requires a proactive individual dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth running of all departments, including fitness, sports, and community activities. You will be responsible for managing staff, budgets, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all members and visitors. This is a vital on-site position for someone passionate about community engagement and promoting healthy lifestyles.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the leisure centre, ensuring high standards of service and cleanliness.
- Manage and develop a diverse team of staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase membership, facility usage, and revenue streams.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements within the centre.
- Manage budgets effectively, controlling expenditure and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Foster positive relationships with members, community groups, and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Previous experience in managing a leisure facility or a similar customer-facing operational role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and drive revenue growth.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to leisure facilities.
- Certifications in First Aid and relevant operational management qualifications are advantageous.
- Passion for community engagement and promoting health and fitness.
