Leisure Facilities Assistant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a reliable and proactive Leisure Facilities Assistant to support the smooth operation of their sports and recreation facilities in Reading . You will be involved in a range of duties, from ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the premises to assisting users and overseeing equipment. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, a helpful attitude, and an interest in the Leisure & Sports sector. You will contribute to a positive experience for all facility users.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure high standards of hygiene and presentation across the facilities.
• Monitor the use of sports equipment and facilities, ensuring they are used safely and correctly.
• Assist facility users, providing information and guidance as needed.
• Respond to emergencies and incidents, following established procedures.
• Set up and take down equipment for various activities and events.
• Perform basic checks on plant and machinery, reporting any faults promptly.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a facilities, cleaning, or customer service role is advantageous.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• A strong understanding of health and safety principles.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical fitness to perform manual tasks and potentially lift equipment.
