About the Role

Our client is seeking a reliable and proactive Leisure Facilities Assistant to support the daily operations of their centre in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is crucial for ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all visitors and users of the facilities. You will be involved in a variety of tasks, including maintaining sports equipment, assisting with event setups, and providing excellent customer service to members and guests. It's a hands-on position perfect for someone with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards in a busy leisure setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the setup, maintenance, and takedown of sports equipment and event areas.
• Ensure all areas of the leisure facility are kept clean, tidy, and well-presented at all times.
• Monitor facility usage, enforcing rules and regulations to ensure safety and security.
• Respond to customer inquiries and provide assistance to visitors regarding facility services.
• Carry out routine safety checks and report any maintenance issues or hazards promptly.
• Support the wider team with general operational duties as required.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a customer service or facilities maintenance role is desirable.
• Basic knowledge of sports equipment and facility operations.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a friendly, helpful attitude.
• Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Awareness of health and safety procedures in a public environment.
