Leisure Facilities Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and observant Leisure Facilities Supervisor to ensure the smooth and safe operation of their sports and recreational facilities in Cambridge . This role is crucial for maintaining high standards across all areas, from sports halls to fitness suites, and ensuring member satisfaction. You will supervise a team of facility assistants, conduct safety checks, manage equipment, and respond to operational needs throughout the day. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily operations of the leisure facilities, ensuring they are clean, safe, and ready for use.
• Manage and direct the work of facility assistants, providing guidance and support.
• Conduct regular inspections of all facilities and equipment, reporting any defects or maintenance needs promptly.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and emergency procedures, acting as a first responder when necessary.
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of equipment for sports activities, events, and bookings.
• Provide excellent customer service to members and visitors, addressing queries and resolving issues efficiently.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a supervisory or operational role within a leisure or sports facility.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to public facilities.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a small team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive and practical approach to problem-solving.
• First Aid certification is desirable, or willingness to obtain it.
