Leisure Facilities Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a vigilant and proactive Leisure Facilities Supervisor to ensure the safe and efficient operation of their sports and recreational facilities in Sheffield . You will lead a team of duty staff, oversee the daily management of the site, and maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer service. This role requires hands-on supervision and a commitment to providing an excellent experience for all facility users in the Sheffield area.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the leisure facility, including opening and closing procedures.
• Lead, motivate, and manage a team of duty officers and reception staff, ensuring effective performance.
• Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to, conducting regular risk assessments and safety checks.
• Manage customer inquiries and complaints, resolving issues efficiently and professionally.
• Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the facilities, reporting any defects or required repairs.
• Assist with the planning and delivery of recreational activities and programmes within the centre.

Requirements

• Previous supervisory experience in a leisure, hospitality, or customer-facing environment.
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures relevant to public facilities.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage staff effectively and foster a positive team environment in Sheffield .
• First Aid at Work certification is desirable.
