Livestock Farm Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a reliable and experienced Livestock Farm Supervisor to manage daily operations at their facility in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, UK . This hands-on role involves overseeing the welfare, feeding, and health of livestock, as well as supervising a small team of farmhands. You will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth running of the farm, maintaining high standards of animal care, and contributing to the overall productivity and efficiency of the operation. This is an ideal position for someone with a strong background in animal husbandry and a passion for agriculture.

Key Responsibilities

• Directly supervise farmhands involved in daily livestock care, including feeding, watering, and health checks.
• Monitor the health and well-being of all livestock, identifying and reporting any concerns promptly.
• Ensure adherence to strict hygiene and biosecurity protocols across the farm.
• Maintain accurate records of feed, treatments, and animal movements.
• Operate and maintain farm equipment and machinery used for livestock management.
• Assist with breeding programs and implement best practices for animal welfare.

Requirements

• Proven experience in livestock farming, with a strong understanding of animal husbandry.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of animal health, nutrition, and welfare standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, often in challenging conditions.
