Livestock Farm Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and skilled Livestock Farm Supervisor to manage their dairy and beef operations near Cardiff . You will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of farm staff, ensuring all livestock receive appropriate care, feed, and veterinary attention. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities related to dairy and beef herds, including milking, feeding, and health checks.
• Ensure high standards of animal welfare, hygiene, and biosecurity across the livestock facilities.
• Manage and train farmhands, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinary staff.
• Maintain accurate records of herd health, breeding, production, and inventory.
• Oversee the maintenance of livestock housing, equipment, and grazing areas.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in livestock farming, with a focus on dairy and/or beef cattle.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience in an agricultural setting.
• A solid understanding of animal husbandry, nutrition, and health management.
• Knowledge of breeding programs and record-keeping systems.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
