Logistics Coordinator - FMCG

About the Role

Our client, a key player in the FMCG market, is seeking a diligent and organized Logistics Coordinator to manage the efficient movement of goods within their supply chain from Nottingham . This role is essential for ensuring timely delivery, optimizing transportation routes, and maintaining inventory accuracy. You will work closely with warehouse teams, transportation providers, and internal stakeholders to coordinate all aspects of logistics operations. Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the daily logistics operations, including transportation scheduling, route planning, and delivery confirmations.
• Liaise with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) to ensure efficient and cost-effective shipping of goods.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage stock movements to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
• Process shipping documents, invoices, and customs declarations as required.
• Track shipments and provide real-time updates to internal teams and external customers.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in logistics coordination or a similar role, preferably within the FMCG sector .
• Strong understanding of transportation, warehousing, and inventory management principles.
• Proficiency with logistics software and ERP systems.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid capacity within the Nottingham area, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
