About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly organized and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join their supply chain team in Plymouth , supporting their extensive FMCG operations. This role is essential for ensuring the efficient and timely movement of goods, managing transportation schedules, and coordinating with warehouses and carriers. You will play a key part in optimizing logistics processes, reducing costs, and maintaining the smooth flow of products to our customers. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in logistics and supply chain management within a dynamic FMCG company.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage daily transportation activities, including scheduling shipments and tracking deliveries for FMCG products.
- Liaise with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), carriers, and internal stakeholders to ensure operational efficiency.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with warehouse operations to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods.
- Process shipping documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Resolve logistical issues and disruptions promptly to minimize impact on delivery schedules.
- Assist in the analysis of logistics costs and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Logistics Coordinator or similar role, preferably within the FMCG industry.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using logistics software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
