Logistics Coordinator - FMCG

About the Role

Our client is seeking an organized and efficient Logistics Coordinator to manage the smooth transportation and delivery of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) products in the Wolverhampton area. This role is critical to ensuring timely and cost-effective movement of goods from suppliers to distribution centers and ultimately to retailers. You will be responsible for coordinating shipments, managing carrier relationships, and resolving logistical issues to maintain supply chain integrity. Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all inbound and outbound logistics for FMCG products, ensuring timely deliveries.
• Liaise with shipping carriers, freight forwarders, and warehouse teams to schedule pickups and deliveries.
• Track shipments and provide regular updates on delivery status to relevant stakeholders.
• Resolve any logistical issues, delays, or damages that may arise during transit.
• Maintain accurate records of all logistics operations, including costs, routes, and delivery times.
• Assist in optimizing logistics processes for cost efficiency and service improvement in the Wolverhampton region.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Logistics Coordinator , Dispatcher, or similar role, preferably within FMCG or a related industry.
• Strong understanding of transportation management, shipping procedures, and inventory control.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in using logistics software and MS Office Suite.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
