Logistics Coordinator

About the Role

Our client requires an organized and efficient Logistics Coordinator to manage the smooth flow of goods and materials for their manufacturing operations in Nottingham . You will be responsible for planning and coordinating transportation, warehousing, and inventory management to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products and raw materials. This role is vital in optimizing the supply chain and supporting production schedules. You will work closely with internal departments, suppliers, and transportation providers to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule inbound and outbound shipments of materials and finished goods.
• Manage relationships with freight carriers, negotiating rates and ensuring service level agreements are met.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee warehouse operations, including stock levels and organization.
• Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading and customs forms.
• Track shipments and provide timely updates to relevant stakeholders on delivery status.
• Resolve any logistical issues or discrepancies that may arise.

Requirements

• Proven experience in logistics, supply chain, or a related field within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of transportation, warehousing, and inventory management principles.
• Proficiency in using logistics software and ERP systems.
