About the Role

Our client, a prominent FMCG business, is looking for an organized and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join their operational team in Nottingham . This role is essential for ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods throughout the supply chain. You will be responsible for coordinating shipments, managing transportation schedules, liaising with carriers, and resolving logistical issues. This is a hands-on role requiring excellent communication and problem-solving skills to maintain operational efficiency and customer satisfaction within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily inbound and outbound logistics operations, ensuring timely delivery of goods.
• Manage relationships with freight carriers and third-party logistics providers.
• Plan and schedule transportation routes to optimize efficiency and minimize costs.
• Track shipments and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders and customers.
• Resolve any transportation or delivery issues that may arise promptly.
• Maintain accurate logistics records and documentation.
• Assist in developing and implementing process improvements within the logistics function.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Logistics or Supply Chain is a plus.
• 1-3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain coordination, preferably in the FMCG sector .
• Proficiency with logistics software and MS Office Suite.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
