Logistics Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and organised Logistics Coordinator to manage the efficient movement of goods for their manufacturing operations based in Nottingham . You will be responsible for coordinating shipments, managing carrier relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and finished products. This role is essential for maintaining the smooth operation of the supply chain and meeting customer expectations. The ideal candidate possesses strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a good understanding of logistics and transportation processes. Your coordination efforts will directly impact operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule all inbound and outbound shipments.
• Manage relationships with shipping carriers, negotiating rates and ensuring service level agreements are met.
• Track shipments and provide timely updates to internal stakeholders and customers.
• Prepare shipping documents, customs forms, and inventory reports.
• Resolve any logistics-related issues or delays promptly and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, costs, and delivery times.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a logistics , shipping, or transportation role.
• Proficiency in using logistics software and MS Office Suite.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Knowledge of shipping regulations and best practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
