About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join their bustling team in Coventry . In this role, you will be at the heart of our supply chain, coordinating the efficient movement of goods from origin to destination. You will work closely with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any logistical challenges that may arise. This hybrid position offers a dynamic work environment where your organizational skills and problem-solving abilities will directly contribute to the smooth operation of our logistics network.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage domestic and international shipments, ensuring on-time delivery.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers to manage transportation logistics.
- Track shipments, provide updates to stakeholders, and proactively address any delays or issues.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, costs, and delivery times within the company's logistics management system.
- Support the logistics team with administrative tasks, including documentation preparation and data entry.
- Collaborate with the sales and procurement teams to ensure seamless order fulfilment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a logistics, supply chain, or freight forwarding role.
- Proficiency in using logistics software and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Understanding of shipping regulations and documentation requirements.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, both remotely and in the Coventry office.
