Logistics Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is seeking an organized and efficient Logistics Coordinator to manage the transportation and warehousing of their FMCG products in Norwich . This role is integral to ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods, maintaining high standards of service, and optimizing supply chain operations. You will work closely with carriers, warehouse staff, and internal teams to coordinate shipments, track inventory, and resolve any logistical challenges. This is a crucial role for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule domestic and international shipments for FMCG products.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, transportation carriers, and warehouse providers to ensure smooth operations.
• Track shipments, monitor delivery progress, and proactively resolve any delays or issues.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipments, and delivery times.
• Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading and customs forms.
• Assist in optimizing logistics routes and costs to improve efficiency and reduce expenditure.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field is a plus.
• 1-2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain coordination, ideally within the FMCG industry.
• Familiarity with logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
