Logistics Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and efficient Logistics Coordinator to join their operational team in Liverpool . You will play a crucial role in managing the day-to-day logistics of goods movement, ensuring that all shipments are processed accurately and arrive at their destinations on time. This role involves close coordination with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to troubleshoot any issues that may arise and to optimize delivery routes and schedules. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment. You will contribute directly to the smooth functioning of the company's supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and track shipments from origin to destination, ensuring timely delivery.
• Liaise with transportation providers to schedule pickups and deliveries and negotiate rates.
• Maintain accurate records of all logistical activities and update the transportation management system (TMS).
• Resolve delivery issues, such as delays or damages, promptly and efficiently.
• Communicate with customers and internal departments to provide shipment updates and address inquiries.
• Process shipping documentation and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in logistics coordination, freight forwarding, or a related role.
• Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and shipping software.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
