Our client is seeking a diligent and organized Logistics Coordinator to manage daily transport and delivery operations from their Edinburgh base. Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule daily deliveries and collections, ensuring optimal route planning and resource allocation.
• Manage communication with drivers, providing them with clear instructions and addressing any on-road issues.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, delivery times, and any associated costs using company systems.
• Liaise with customers to confirm delivery details, resolve queries, and provide updates on shipment status.
• Ensure compliance with all transport regulations, including health and safety standards.
• Process relevant logistics documentation, such as delivery notes and proof of delivery confirmations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a logistics or transport coordination role is essential.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to interact effectively with drivers, customers, and colleagues.
• Proficiency in using logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of the Scottish road network and delivery constraints is an advantage.
