Job Description
City Calling is recruiting a Logistics Manager for a major construction project in Bristol. We’re looking for an experienced Logistics Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day coordination of site logistics, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials, equipment and personnel across the site.
The role
Managing and overseeing all site logistics operations
Coordinating the timely delivery, movement and distribution of materials and equipment
Working closely with suppliers, subcontractors and site management to ensure efficient logistics operations
Planning and implementing site logistics strategies to support project timelines
Leading and managing the site logistics team and monitoring daily activities
Coordinating deliveries and ensuring materials and equipment are available when required
Working closely with site management to identify and resolve logistics challenges
Ensuring safe movement of vehicles, materials and personnel around the site
Maintaining accurate records and reports relating to site logistics operations
Using Microsoft Office for reporting, communication and site documentation
Managing emails, timesheets and other documentation relating to site operatives
Ensuring all logistics activities comply with site health and safety and environmental requirements
Supporting the wider site team in maintaining an efficient, safe and well-organised working environment What you’ll need
Smsts
Valid CSCS Gold Card — NVQ Level 3 minimum Black CSCS Card preferred Valid First Aid certification Proven experience as a Logistics Manager or in a similar construction logistics management role Experience managing logistics operations on a busy construction site Strong understanding of site logistics, deliveries and material distribution Experience managing and coordinating logistics teams Good understanding of construction health & safety and environmental requirements Strong organisational and communication skills Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, email, spreadsheets and timesheets Valid right to work in the UK Nice to have
SEATS (Site Environmental Awareness Training Scheme) Previous experience on large-scale construction projects Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and suppliers Additional construction management or logistics qualifications
