About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and results-driven Logistics Operations Specialist to join their team in Liverpool . This role is vital for ensuring the efficient and timely movement of goods through the supply chain. You will be responsible for coordinating shipments, managing carrier relationships, and optimizing logistics processes to reduce costs and improve service levels. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of transportation and warehousing operations within a dynamic business environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all aspects of inbound and outbound logistics operations, ensuring seamless transportation.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, negotiating rates and service agreements to optimize costs and performance.
• Monitor shipment progress, proactively identify and resolve logistical issues, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Analyze logistics data to identify trends, measure performance against KPIs, and recommend strategies for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including customs, shipping, and transportation laws.
• Support the implementation of new logistics technologies and processes to enhance operational efficiency and visibility.

Requirements

• Proven experience in logistics operations, supply chain management, or a related field.
• Solid understanding of transportation modes, freight forwarding, and warehousing practices.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex logistics data to drive decision-making.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
• Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement in logistics.
