About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Operations Supervisor to oversee their warehouse operations in Cardiff . This role requires a strong presence on the ground, ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of daily logistics tasks. You will be responsible for leading a team of warehouse operatives, managing inventory, and ensuring that all goods are processed accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of warehouse procedures and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse staff, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Oversee the receiving, warehousing, and distribution of goods, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain inventory levels, conducting regular stock checks and implementing inventory control measures.
• Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and security procedures within the warehouse environment.
• Train new employees on warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and the use of equipment.
• Collaborate with the logistics manager to identify areas for process improvement and efficiency gains.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Solid understanding of warehouse operations , including inventory management and order fulfillment.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to warehouse operations.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
