Logistics Operative

About the Role

Our client is seeking diligent and reliable Logistics Operatives to join their team in Oxford . This is a hands-on role focused on the efficient and safe handling of goods within the warehouse. You will be involved in various aspects of logistics, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching orders. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to the operational success of the facility, ensuring that products are processed accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and record incoming goods, verifying against order documentation.
• Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently using scanning equipment.
• Prepare goods for dispatch, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
• Load and unload delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and work areas.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks and potentially forklifts (training provided).
• Participate in inventory counts and stock management activities as required.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role is beneficial but not essential.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude towards work.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Willingness to undertake training and learn new processes in our Oxford facility.
