About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Logistics Planner to join their team in Manchester , offering a hybrid work model. You will be responsible for planning and coordinating all transportation and delivery schedules to ensure the efficient movement of goods. This role involves analyzing complex logistical data, optimizing routes, and collaborating with various departments and external partners to meet delivery deadlines and customer requirements. You will play a vital role in enhancing the supply chain's efficiency and cost-effectiveness, contributing significantly to the company's operational success. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize daily, weekly, and monthly transportation and delivery plans.
• Analyze transportation data to identify opportunities for cost reduction and service improvement.
• Coordinate with carriers, drivers, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth execution of delivery schedules.
• Manage and update logistics plans in response to changes in demand, capacity, or unforeseen disruptions.
• Track shipments and provide timely updates to stakeholders regarding delivery status.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and company policies.

Requirements

• Proven experience in logistics planning, transportation management, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Proficiency in logistics planning software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a hybrid team.
• Experience with route optimization techniques is highly desirable.
